FASoS Education during COVID-19 Information for Master students

We are working hard to ensure you can safely study in Maastricht and to immerse yourself in university life as much as the current circumstances allow.

For some of our programmes, we have decided to follow a hybrid approach that combines the best of online education with the best of on-campus education. We are very much looking forward to the moment in which we will be able to offer you full on-campus activities, without having to compromise on your health and safety. Please, read our safety measures carefully.

Safety measures
Please note that we adhere to strict security and hygiene protocols to protect our community. The directional signs in the university buildings indicate in what directions you may walk, and we ask everyone to keep in mind the 1.5 metres social distancing rule, not only in the classrooms, but also in the corridors. There are several hand disinfectants spread across the faculty buildings and we ask you to not shake hands, to cough or sneeze into your elbow, and to wash your hands regularly. In case of flu-like symptoms or a fever, we ask students to stay home until they have been symptom-free for at least 24 hours. In case a student tests positive to the coronavirus, he/she can only return to the university after having been symptom-free for at least 24 hours. When a family member or member of a household tests positive to the coronavirus, the student must stay in quarantine for at least 14 days. In case you yourself do not feel well (either physically or mentally), our student doctor can facilitate easy access to health care. Of course, similar health and safety measures also apply to members of the university staff. Besides all our safety measures, the city itself is also a good reason to come here. Maastricht is not only beautiful, but also a small city that allows you to get around very easily on foot or by bike, so there is no need to rely on public transport for students living in or near Maastricht.
