SDG Seminar Series: Sustainable Finance

Sustainable finance regulation is becoming an important driver of our sustainability transition and presents immense opportunities for those entering the market. It is a crucial topic for businesses, investors, and increasingly, the public. Hence, this seminar will evolve around how sustainable finance and sustainable finance regulation is changing the way we do business and why it should matter to you. This SDG Seminar is related to SDG 13 Climate Action & SDG 17 Partnerships.

Our speaker, Toby Sparwasser Soroka, is a former UM student and founding team member of Briink, a Berlin-based startup using artificial intelligence (AI) to simplify sustainable finance reporting for investors and companies. He now leads the Business Development Team at Briink and is a member of the UNESCO International Research Center on AI's Business and Impacts Council.

During the seminar, Toby will share his insight into the most important sustainable finance regulatory topics and what they could mean for future work opportunities, share with you practical insights on how to built an impactful career in climate tech and/or sustainable finance and reveal why he believes we should all be excited about sustainable finance regulation - not exactly the usual reaction to new regulations.

For Toby, networking is one of the greatest tools to success. Thus, this seminar is intended to be informal and highly practical to help you increase the impact you're having (or are going to have) with your career: You are invited to stay around and chat over some snacks after the seminar to exchange with Toby and other like-minded/interested people.
