… of Law at Maastricht University score high in national and international moot courts and moot competitions, where teams vie against each other in simulated proceedings to present a convincing legal case to an expert jury. This spring, UM student teams showed well in four competitions. Willem C. Vis Moot The Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot was held in Washington, where for the first time a UM team made it through to the quarter finals. With an outstanding score they ended … payment. In addition, the students had to master issues of arbitration procedure, with a focus on security for costs and contractual time limits.
