Parveen Kumar (P.a.r.v.e.e.n.)

Parveen Kumar is a researcher at the Institute for Data Science at Maastricht University. Previously, he was as a postdoc researcher at the Environmental Research Institute (ERI), University College Cork (UCC) in Ireland. In that position, he focused on the development of a GHG emission projections model for Ireland-2030 and climate change policy analysis. Parveen holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the University of Trento, Italy. During his PhD, he worked on developing climate change vulnerability assessment framework, social-ecological systems analysis, cities, and spatial modeling with India as a case study. He obtained his MSc from ITC, University of Twente, Netherlands, and has a B. Tech. from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, India.

He is an interdisciplinary researcher and his research focus is on sustainability, climate change, integarted assessments, governance, food-energy-economy nexus, trade-offs analysis, decision suppory system, policy analysis, cities, and big data.
