Research procedures
Research is frequently governed by procedures and regulations. For instance, all research that involves human participants or personal data conducted at FHML/Maastricht UMC+ must undergo ethics review. Moreover, certain types of research require specific procedures, such as regulations related to the access to genetic resources.
Ethics Review Committees
All research involving human participants or personal data conducted in FHML/Maastricht UMC+ should be submitted for ethical review. This applies to research subject to the WMO, non-WMO research, and research involving animals.
Nagoya protocol
The Nagoya Protocol concerns regulations regarding access to genetic resources and the fair and equitable sharing of benefits arising from their utilization to the convention on biological diversity. This international agreement ensures benefit-sharing on the use of genetic resources.
