Key theoretical and doctrinal aspects of punishing atrocities remain underdeveloped. This study contributes to the normative maturation of atrocity sentencing and punishment through doctrinal development of nulla poena sine lege in international law and theoratical advancement of the enabler factor. -
The possible construction of the Einstein Telescope in South Limburg is a step closer now that research has shown that the soil under the hills is stable enough for the ten-kilometre-long detectors of gravitational waves. Maastricht University, one of the participants in the project, is pleased with the results.

The interaction between law and technology essentially goes in two directions: Technology for Law, and Law for Technology. For this reason the Maastricht Law and Tech Lab has been recently set up at Maastricht University’s Faculty of Law.
