Research projects
Hanxu’s PhD research project, ‘Collective Voice in the Global Arena: Interactions with the United Nations’, examines whether and if so, how Disabled People’s Organisations in European countries have successfully interacted with the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the UN Special Rapporteur on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the Human Rights Council, with a view to monitoring the national implementation of human rights in alignment with the CRPD. The research will investigate the processes, impacts and effectiveness of such interactions at the international and national levels, and explore the implications for future actions.
