Drs R.P.H. Jacobs

Ron Jacobs is Head of Marketing & Communications at UMIO, the executive branch of Maastricht University School of Business and Economics (SBE). In this capacity, Ron is responsible for developing and implementing a marketing & communication strategy that contributes to the realisation of UMIO’s growth ambitions. Taking care of continuous quality and innovation in the primary processes of professional development activities, internal & external communication, digital marketing, student recruitment and alumni commitment are some of the cornerstones of this strategy.

Career history

Ron holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business Economics, a Master’s degree in International Business (Strategic Marketing) and a second Master’s degree in Management of Learning from Maastricht University. He very much likes to be at the crossroads of business and science, and to stimulate the interplay between both. He joined Maastricht University as the MBA Programmes Manager where he was responsible for the university’s executive MBA studies. In 2014, he was appointed International Projects Manager at SBE where his activities focused on creating an international network of foreign universities and business schools targeted at collaborations in management education. Ron also headed various strategic renewal projects for the business school and specifically managed marketing and communication initiatives for the executive MBA programmes – in particular the MaastrichtMBA – of Maastricht University.
