European Studies Graduations and Testimonials
Graduates of the European Studies educational programmes are in high demand in a wide variety of fields: from government and NGO’s, to international institutions and multinational corporations. Our European Studies programmes have excellent reputation in Brussels (within the European institutions and related organisations). That is because our students learn not only facts and concepts, but also the professional skills needed for a successful career in the 21st century. Along with a research-oriented attitude and critical reflection, students learn skills such as: problem-solving, professional communication, result- and quality-orientated behaviour, the ability to prioritise and organise their own working/learning process, working with others in multicultural teams, and, perhaps most importantly: they learn how to learn. These skills are highly valued by employers, which is why over 95% of our graduates are either employed or go on to do a graduate study or internship.
Below you will find an impression of our graduation ceremonies over the years and an overview of testimonials by our alumni.

In my view one of the best aspects of the European studies programme is its interdisciplinary approach and that you are able to switch from different topics such as: economics, law and international relations.

The bachelor’s programme in European Studies was a milestone for my personal and professional growth. The study programme was culturally enriching, intellectually very challenging at times, and heterogeneous for the disciplines it offered to us students.

I think my biggest take away from the BA European Studies is the interdisciplinary approach it taught me. After my BA, I decided I wanted to go more into the direction of policy making, preferably in the field of public health or healthcare.

After having completed my three years of studies, I decided to do an internship at the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Berlin. The Bachelor in European studies has allowed me to gain a real insight in European affairs from many different viewpoints. I have studied the European Union and its Member States from a historical, economical and law perspective which is essential if you want to know what the European project really is.
