Our Ambition

The Fair and Smart Data (FSD) spearhead wants to contribute to innovations towards sustainable value networks to create a better world on a liveable planet. The (current) focus of FSD is on smallholder farmers in the Global South, who are at the bottom of the value chain and receive the lowest value. The ambition of FSD is to improve the living conditions and livelihood assets of smallholder farmers by using data technologies, new business models, and good governance of global supply chains as drivers for systemic change. In short, FSD aims to create fair value for smallholder farmers in the Global South while working on sustainable development for all.
