Recap: UM Connect Day 2024
On Saturday, 28 September 2024, over 200 alumni gathered for UM Connect Day. The event took place at the beautiful Tapijnkazerne in Maastricht, bringing alumni together for a day filled with learning, networking, and reminiscing about old memories!
The day began with a warm welcome from Jan-Tjitte Meindersma, Vice President of Maastricht University, followed by an impressive keynote from Roger Dassen, CFO of ASML. The participants were immediately engaged and inspired to share and expand their knowledge.
In the subsequent breakout sessions, alumni explored a variety of topics, from intercultural competence and data flows in mobile apps to positive eco-psychology and the secrets behind successful TED talks. The interactive sessions provided a platform for in-depth discussions and new insights, encouraging participants to actively contribute and share their personal and professional experiences.
The day concluded with a delightful meal, where participants could relax, enjoy delicious food, and get to know each other better over snacks and drinks. It was a perfect way to end an inspiring day.
We would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed to the success of UM Connect Day 2024. Your enthusiasm and engagement made this day unforgettable. We look forward to welcoming you again next year for UM Connect Day 2025!
Thanks to you €5,100 for the Equity and Inclusion Programme
We are delighted to announce that the registration fees and additional donations have raised a remarkable total of €5,100 for the Equity and Inclusion Programme of the University Fund Limburg. This programme provides young people from disadvantaged backgrounds with the opportunity to pursue their studies, which would otherwise be unattainable for many due to social and financial barriers.
Your generous support helps bring these young individuals closer to a successful future. Learn more about the Equity and Inclusion Programme and discover how these funds will be used.
