Louise Longton (L.)

Louise Longton is a PhD candidate and Junior Lecturer at Maastricht Sustainability Institute. Her research focuses on the governance dynamics involved in the scaling process of alternative food networks aiming to initiate a transition towards alternative food systems. 

In parallel to her PhD research, she is also teaching several courses of the Master in Sustainability Science, Policy and Society. 

Expertises

Very interested in sustainability, and more precisely in citizen's engagement around sustainability, she is concerned about understanding the dynamics between actors that enable sustainability transitions. She has a particular interest for sustainability in the food sector, and the role of citizens initiatives and public authorities in the food transition.
