Career history

Julian studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics and the University of Oxford, graduating in 2015. This was followed by and MPhil and DPhil in Economics, also at the University of Oxford, during which he spent time at the European Central Bank and Goldman Sachs. He then worked as a Research Fellow at London Business School and a Teaching Fellow at University College London, before joining Maastricht University as an Assistant Professor in 2023.  Julian currently also holds positions as a New Map of Life Fellow aty the Stanford Center on Longevity, and an Academic Consultant at the World Bank Group.
