Health Campus Holiday Activities
The holiday season is here, and of course we wish all our students a fabulous and relaxed Christmas break.
It's been a strange year and we can imagine that for some of you holiday plans might turn out a bit different than normal. We are aware that probably not all students can go home to visit their families because of travel restrictions.
We realize this is a time to connect and take care of each other. Are you staying in Maastricht and you are looking for activities to join during your Christmas break? We’ve organised some online and offline activities, for all UM students and staff, that might help you to connect with other students.
Holiday Exchange Posterboards at UNS40 | 2–18 December
In these times we have to look for new ways of connecting. Why not do so with exchanging our skills, talents, and passions?
Check out the poster boards at UNS 40 and take a ‘Holiday Exchange Card’ and fill in something you are looking for and/or what you can offer in exchange for another student during the Christmas Holiday. It can be anything; baking cakes, hiking together, starting an online book club, playing an instrument, learning a new language, knitting sweaters, a workshop in folding laundry, anything! Or maybe you just want to leave a holiday message…
The only 2 rules are: no money, and keep the COVID-19 regulations and restrictions in mind.
Online Community Meeting | 18 December 16:00–17:00hrs
A meaningful connection can start online. Key-note speaker Adina Petre (coach and former UM student) will return after a first successful session about connection and how to handle the COVID-19 crisis as a student. This is a perfect moment to connect with other international and Dutch students and find out all about how to handle corona in general and maybe specifically during your Christmas holiday. Students that participated in the first session described the event as “extremely valuable”, “inspiring” and “very nice option to meet other students”.
