Welcome in Maastricht!
The academic year 2019/20 will be officially opened on 2 September - and you will start your studies at Maastricht University!
You probably still have to arrange a lot at right now. Maybe you are still looking for a room or maybe you have already found something nice and all you have to do is move your things. Of course, you also have to explore the city: what is the fastest cycle route to university and where is the cheapest supermarket?
Below, you will find a number of links that will help make your transition as smooth as possible.

Introduction days
Before you start studying at Maastricht University, you’re invited to take part in INKOM and the introduction days organised by the faculties. This gives you the opportunity to get to know your fellow students, your programme and faculty, UM SPORTS, student and study associations as well as the city of Maastricht.
- The INKOM
The INKOM takes place from 19 to 23 August. This is the introduction week for all new students in Maastricht. For five days you can participate in all kinds of activities and parties.
Check out the full programme and don't forget to sign up!
- The faculty introduction days
At the end of August/beginning of September, the faculties and programmes also organise introduction days. During these often mandatory introductions, you will meet the faculty and your fellow students and receive study-related information.
