China-Europe School of Law (CESL)

The European Master's Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation (E.MA) is an intensive and rigorous one-year academic programme to educate professionals in the field of human rights and democratisation. It is a multidisciplinary programme that reflects the indivisible links between human rights, democracy, peace and development.

Hasselt University
Since 2008, the faculty has collaborated with Hasselt University and K.U. Leuven in offering bachelor's and master's law programmes at Hasselt University. The Maastricht faculty is responsible for 40% of the bachelor's courses, and the other two partners are each responsible for 30%. The study programme combines the study of Belgian law with a great focus on English-language education, European law, comparative law and Problem-Based Learning. After having completed their bachelor's degree, students from Hasselt University can continue on with the Maastricht master's programmes.
