Eisenhower Thesis prize for alumna MSc European Studies
Hannah Jakob Barrett, alumna from the Research Master European Studies and currently working as teaching fellow at FASoS, has been awarded the Dwight D. Eisenhower Thesis Prize by the Netherlands Atlantic Association!
She is the first winner of this prize from UM.
The jury selected Jakob Barrett's thesis for the innovative design and transatlantic character of her research on the transition of leadership from Trump to Biden.
As the winner, she may participate free of charge in the prestigious Studium Generale program of the Netherlands Atlantic Association (worth € 2,250). This is an annual program for a select group of promising young professionals.
The participants attend (discussion) meetings with leading speakers on the transatlantic political and economic agenda at top institutions such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defence, and at multinationals such as Damen Shipyards Group and ASML.
Like Jakob Barrett, the numbers two and three, Ricky van der Pas and Sven Berg, will have the opportunity to publish a summary of their thesis in the magazine Atlantisch Perspectief.
