DSRI Community Event 2022

Thursday 16 June 2022

Are you doing data science work and eager to use something more powerful than your laptop? Come learn about the Data Science Research Infrastructure (DSRI), a UM-wide resource for data science and artificial intelligence, on June 16th from 9:30 to 14:00 CEST (IN PERSON).

Background
In 2018, Maastricht University (UM) established the Data Science Research Infrastructure (DSRI) as a UM-wide resource for data science and artificial intelligence research and applications. The DSRI is a cluster of servers to easily deploy popular workspaces and applications for Data Science. In 2022, the DSRI is being utilized by 221 researchers and students in 13 UM departments
In this Community Event, you will learn about the upgraded version of DSRI, our vision, progress and plans, as well as research projects that are making use of DSRI resources. This event is a mixture of short lectures and hands-on live coding workshops focusing on the topic ‘Beyond the limits of your local environment: efficient programming and the DSRI”, covering sessions such as learning the basics of DSRI, how to scale up your applications on the DSRI,  and how to run your data science applications on our GPU.

N.B: For participation in the workshops, a UM email-address is required (@maastrichtuniversity.nl or @student.maastrichtuniversity.nl)
