Meet Pierre, the new Sustainability Hub Manager
The Green Office is continually growing, and in this article, you’ll meet Pierre, who’s stepping into the exciting new role of Hub Manager. Discover what motivated him to take on this challenge and get to know who he is!
Hi :)
My name is Pierre, I am a French-American Arts and Culture student studying here in Maastricht. The little dog in the picture is Charlie, and he will be present wherever I am, so I thought I’d introduce him too! I am deeply passionate about philosophy, music and sustainability in all its forms! I am the new manager/co-manager (for now) of the Sustainability Hub, taking over from Jodi.
In this role, I will be in charge of facilitating any and all hub-related activities from any of the 19 organisations living under its roof, as well as handling communications to and from the University about this space.
In this role, I hope to help our students create valuable communities, spaces and events centred around sustainability, as well as maintain existing initiatives like the swap room and the bike workshop. It is so important for any city to have a strong, student-led space and community centred around activism, sustainability, respect, education and more, and I feel very lucky to be able to play a part in this.
