Why choose a master's degree?

A Master’s programme gives you the opportunity to fulfill your your own personal academic interest and aspirations.  Yet a master’s degree also proves to your future employer that you have the potential to become a fully developed professional. So besides that, why should you choose a master’s programme?

1. Become an expert
A master’s degree enables you to specialise and expand your knowledge in a specific field or subject. More knowledge means you are able to become a better expert in a certain area of expertise.

2. Gain hands-on experience and skills
During your master’s, you will work on real-world projects which provide you with the knowledge, skills and experience to start your career well prepared. In addition, you will be able to do an internship, study abroad or do a thesis at a company or research institute.

3. Easier to get a job after you graduate
When entering the competitive work-field, having a master’s degree sets you apart from other candidates, and you are thus more likely to get the job you aspire. Plus, it increases your opportunities to grow into more advanced career positions.

4. Earn more money
Master graduates do not only earn a higher starting salary than bachelor graduates but also earn a higher salary in general.

5. Personal development
A master’s degree provides an opportunity to develop not only your academic skills but also your personal skills, which will be of great value for your future career.
