"The Development And Evaluation Of A Smoking Cessation Referral Aid For The Primary Care Setting"

The aim of this dissertation was to increase the use of smoking cessation interventions that are proven to be effective among smokers who are willing to undertake a quit attempt. The first part of the dissertation examined the potential of a referral aid intended to increase the use of smoking cessation interventions for smoking patients within the primary care setting. The second part of the thesis explored potential future applications of this referral aid outside of the primary care setting in the form of a decision aid.
