"Mind the Gap; evaluation of an online preventive programme for adolescents with mentally ill or addicted parents"

Children with mentally ill or addicted parents run a high risk (50–66%) of developing the same problems, which often influences their health, wellbeing, functioning and social network. The online programme Kopstoring was therefore developed, which this dissertation evaluates from different perspectives. This evaluation found that both the participants and the practitioners were positive about their expectations of and experiences with the programme and that it helped to improve the children's health. It was also found that outdated medical legislation, the current financial climate, the current youth care system and methodological problems hampers research into online interventions.
