Market and Morality - An Impossible Relation?
Neoliberalism informs us that our welfare depends on markets being free of government intervention. However, many people have opposed this view, arguing that it does not take into account the moral aspect of human interactions. Highlighted by the hundreds of recent protests, two of the fundamental questions of our time are: How could our current economic system be moral? And what will happen to our society and finally to economic theory, if markets do not behave morally and do not create benefits for the masses? Join tonight’s Debate Café to discuss this important issue with the panel of experts.
This event is a cooperation between SCOPE | Economics and Studium Generale.
