Abstract

Copyright functions in the creative economy have evolved. From a purely regulatory mechanism it has emerged as the main business model and market framework for monetizing creativity. The evidence suggests that the copyright industries have become the driver for growth, generating substantive value and employment, driving innovation, competitiveness and improving the performance of institutions. The efficiency of copyright management is an important research topic and indicator of practical value. The approach to measuring the economic efficiency of collective management should be based on a comprehensive assessment of indicators which go beyond simple quantitative dimensions and have often been limited to administrative efficiency.
