GROW Science Day 2022: Welcome back – Making every connection matter!

We can’t wait to meet you on site again! On Thursday, June 2nd, the annual GROW Science Day will take place again. A day full of interesting talks, inspiring poster sessions and loads of time to meet all participants. Keep reading to learn more about the programme and registering.

We have put together an inspiring programme for anyone interested in GROW. Theme of the day is ‘Making every connection matter’: the perfect opportunity to introduce our vision, mission and all changes within GROW. Meet the affiliation professors and learn all about the meaning and impact of GROWs main missions: ‘The best start’ and ‘Survival with preservation of function’.

Enjoy a coffee at the coffee lounge with the PhD representatives and coordinators, meet the funding advisor and be inspired by the research of our very own GROW scientists during the poster sessions.

Besides talking all things GROW, we are also excited to announce that Enith Vlooswijk will be speaking at our Science Day! During her lecture she will talk about the credibility of science. Enith Vlooswijk (1974) writes as a freelance science journalist for various Dutch media, including De Volkskrant, De Ingenieur, Quest, Radar+ and university magazines. For years, she contributed to the column 'Klopt dit wel?' of De Volkskrant and she regularly assesses strong news items and claims for Nieuwscheckers.nl of Leiden University. Although she has a heart for science, she also knows how issues such as p-hacking and publication bias can cast a shadow over the noble world of truth-finding.

The day will end with informal drinks. GROW looks forward to meeting all of you in person again and hopes to see you June 2nd!
