EC’16 ACM conference on economics and computation

EC'16 Congress

EC’16, the 17th ACM conference on economics and computation, will be co-located with GAMES 2016 at Maastricht University from July 24 to 28, 2016. Since 1999, the ACM Special Interest Group on Electronic Commerce (SIGecom) has sponsored this leading scientific conference on advances in theory, systems, and applications at the interface of economics and computation, including applications to electronic commerce. The conference reflects the need to incorporate theories of economic and strategic interaction into the design of computational systems, when such systems provide platforms for human and commercial interaction on the Internet. Similarly, past conferences have demonstrated how the incorporation of computational models can improve our economic understanding of Internet based markets and social networks. Microsoft Research and Google Research are since many years main sponsors of the conference. It is only the second time that the conference is located outside Northern America.
