Dies Natalis Celebration
Maastricht University celebrates its 42nd birthday on Friday 26 January 2018
in Sint Janskerk, Maastricht;
15.30 - 17.00, followed by a reception.

There will be two Dies Lectures on this year's topic, The Future of a Data-Driven Society.
Michel Dumontier, Professor of Data Science:
“A social and technological infrastructure for data-driven science”
Sally Wyatt, Professor of Digital Cultures:
“Where is the knowledge we have lost in data?”
The speakers will then present Prof Carole Goble (University of Manchester) and Prof Lucy Suchman (Lancaster University) with honorary doctorates. Both recipients will also elaborate on this year’s theme in lectures during the symposium on the preceding day.
As is tradition, the Wynand Wijnen Education Prize, the Student Prizes and the Dissertation Prize will be awarded during the ceremony.
