Talk by visiting expert A.Seza Doğruöz

Abstract

Computational Social Science (CSS) is a growing field which investigates societal issues from a multi-disciplinary perspective. During her seminar, Dr. Doğruöz will first present research findings about applying computational methods into spoken and digital communication data to investigate social and linguistic diversity among speakers/users.

In the second part, she will highlight applications of her research into societal issues and industrial use cases. If time permits, she will also share her experiences about conducting multi-disciplinary research in academic and industrial contexts.
