Bachelor Student Prize Winner

Eighteen students completed their bachelor's degree in 2021 with a thesis that was labelled ‘excellent’ by their faculty. "Psychosocial problems in deaf or hard of hearing children: a review"

Deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) children are at increased risk of developing psychosocial problems, including emotional, behavioral, and social problems, resulting in a reduced quality of life. Early detection and intervention are essential to prevent this. Over the past five years, many studies have been performed evaluating the psychosocial problems in DHH children. This review summarizes the recent advances made on the association between behavioral, social, and emotional problems in DHH children in contrast to normal-hearing children.
