Imagine this: as a newly graduated master's student, you get to share the insights you gained during your research at an international conference. This happened to Bram Mennen. At the end of June 2024, he presented the results of his thesis on the training data of top cyclist Annemiek van Vleuten at the Science in Cycling Conference in Florence.
Het zal je maar gebeuren: als pas afgestudeerde masterstudent mag je de inzichten die je tijdens je onderzoek hebt opgedaan, delen op een internationaal congres. Het overkwam Bram Mennen. Eind juni 2024 presenteerde hij de resultaten van zijn scriptie over de trainingsgegevens van topwielrenster Annemiek van Vleuten tijdens de Science in Cycling Conference in Florence.

The Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence (ECoE), a leading research institution based in Limassol (Cyprus) received funding under the Twinning Bottom-Up scheme of the EC WIDERA program for the innovative REVITALISER project. The REVITALISER project, titled “Preventive Protection of Archaeological Sites in the EMMENA Region,” contributes to the fight against illegal excavations and protect cultural heritage using remote sensing, AI, and space-born technologies. The ECoE will work closely with the Catalan Institute of Classical Archaeology (ICAC), Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK), and Maastricht University (UM).

Mastersstudente Beverlianne wist na haar aankomst in Maastricht daarom al snel dat ze betrokken wilde raken bij de lokale gemeenschap. Mensen die het moeilijk hebben, kunnen rekenen op de vrijwilligers van Serve the City. Grote projecten of kleine gebaren, vrijwel niks is te gek.
