BOD 6 november European law School

Please watch these videos before attending the Bachelor Open Day!

On this page you will find general information on the bachelor programme European Law School in the form of a number of videos. In these videos, our programme directors and teachers explain, among other things, what the content of this programme entails and what the Problem-Based learning system (PBL) looks like. We strongly advise you to watch the videos before you come to the open day in Maastricht. At the open day, there will be no extensive programme presentation. You will go to work yourself and experience first-hand how the PBL system works in practice!

We also want to welcome students from further abroad. If it’s for this reason really not possible to be physically present in Maastricht on November 6th, we can see what is possible to join in online for this day. Please send us your name, e-mail address and preferred time via communication-law@maastrichtuniversity.nl.

Welcome!

Director of studies Nicole Kornet welcomes you and tells you more about the videos on this page.

European Law School

In this programme you look at legal issues from a European and comparative perspective. Watch the video for an extensive explanation of the curriculum.

Problem-Based Learning (PBL)

Dory Lemeunier explains in a fun and clear way what the PBL system entails. She tells you how PBL can help you study without just learning by heart.

In this video about UM's choice for the PBL system you will learn why 'one-size-fits-all' is just fine for a pair of socks but not for your brains. Dory explains!

Finally

We do hope that the videos you have watched have given you a good impression about the European Law School programme and the PBL system. Now, experience and get a taste of the faculty, student life and the city of Maastricht during the Bachelors Open Day on Saturday, 6 November 2021.

We are looking forward to meeting you then!
