The loan, the student travel product and the tuition fees loan are eligible for everyone. Whether you are eligible for the supplementary loan depends on the income of your parents. You must be younger than 30 on the day your student finance starts.
Students from Maastricht University who would like to work alongside their study may be able to find a job via ‘InterUM’, UM's temping agency. You can also consult the Career Services database, inquire at one of the many commercial temping agencies, or look for a student position at Maastricht University.
Everyone aged 18 years or older who lives or works in the Netherlands must have health insurance. This is a legal requirement that also applies to students. If you are not insured, the CAK (Dutch National Health Care Institute) can fine you.

There are several funds that provide financial aid to UM students. You may be eligible for additional funding if you fall behind on your studies, if you are a top-level athlete, or if you are going to study abroad. There are also funds for student initiatives that tie in with the vision of UM.
We can help you with psychological problems and complaints such as: anxieties, feelings of guilt, gloominess, stress symptoms, a lack of self-confidence, difficulties making or keeping contact, problems and conflicts with your parents, family or friends (boyfriend/girlfriend), or if you're having trouble dealing with grief.
