Als je (psychische) gezondheidsklachten hebt, is de huisarts je eerste aanspreekpunt. Elke student kan het beste een huisarts in Maastricht zoeken. Zo kan je de juiste zorg krijgen wanneer je het nodig hebt. In geval van psychische problemen en bij nood aan psychologische hulpverlening, ga je altijd eerst naar de huisarts. Je kan dan hulp, advies en ondersteuning krijgen van de arts zelf of de praktijkondersteuning huisarts (POH) met een specialisatie in geestelijke gezondheidszorg (GGZ).

The name Maastricht UMC+ (MUMC+) stands for the collaboration between the academic hospital Maastricht (azM) and the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences (FHML) of Maastricht University (UM). Together, they form the eighth university medical centre in the Netherlands under the name MUMC+.
