On the one hand, the film shows how a Western ideal finds its way into the unruly African reality. On the other hand, it is a social deconstruction of a metaphorical encounter between two worlds. A clash between the west and Africa. Between white and black. Between a colonial history and a post-colonial perception. After the movie, Wim Muller will give a short introduction on international humanitarian law and the role of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement (ICRC).
