The last MCEL seminar of the academic year 2015-2016 will take place on the 21th June from 15.00-17.00. MCEL member Dr. Evangelia Psychogiopoulou will present on the cultural method of coordination, which will be followed with comments by Kate Mattocks.
Het Belgisch-Nederlands Rechtshistorisch Colloquium is een forum dat voornamelijk jonge onderzoekers de kans biedt voorlopige resultaten aan de peers in het vakgebied voor te stellen. Bovendien viert en bestendigt het colloquium de banden tussen de Belgische en Nederlandse rechtshistorici.
On 13 & 14 December 2016, an international workshop will be held at Maastricht University on “Theorising Labour Law in a Changing World: New Perspectives and Approaches”. The two-day workshop features 10-15 detailed presentations following a call for abstracts and will push the boundaries of labour law, promoting a more inclusive and critical dialogue on an issue of fundamental contemporary importance.

From 13-14 October 2016 Prof. Dr. Gerard-René de Groot will host his farewell seminar on the "Future of nationality law", at the Groote Societeit in Maastricht. On 14th October at 16.00 his valedictory lecture "Towards a toolbox for nationality legislation", will take place at the Sint Janskerk in Maastricht (address: Vrijthof 24).
The Centre for European Research in Maastricht has been operational for one year. This presents a good occasion to take stock of what has been accomplished but also to look forward at the initiatives and challenges that lay ahead.
