Open Design is a phenomenon which applies the concept of open source software to digital blueprints of physical objects. It relies heavily on the modular Creative Commons licensing regime, which requires a functioning copyright framework. Furthermore, the relation between Open Design and industrial property rights shall be discussed.
We will organize two workshops the aim of which is to clarify the meaning of the concept of trust in a legal context, specifically linking it to trade-related questions.
The Innovation and the Triple Helix event will focus on:
The importance of intellectual property for innovation; and the role for government, the private sector, and academia in driving innovation forward through cooperative action.

Presentaties beschikbaar. ITEM en Team GWO organiseerden gezamenlijk een informatiesessie over het ‘Belastingverdrag Nederland-Duitsland’. Tijdens deze informatiebijeenkomst voor (voormalig) grensarbeiders/pensioengerechtigden informeerden ITEM en Team GWO deelnemers over het nieuwe verdrag ter voorkoming van dubbele belasting tussen Nederland en Duitsland.
Presentaties beschikbaar. Op 28 september organiseerden Expertisecentrum ITEM en Bureau Duitse Zaken van de SVB de informatiesessie 'Verschillende ingangsdata AOW-leeftijd en Duitse rente'. Expertisecentrum ITEM gaf een korte inleiding omtrent de flexibilisering van de ingangsdatum van de AOW, waarna Bureau voor Duitse Zaken inging op de verschillende gevolgen van de verschillende ingangsdata.
