… in midwifery programs, developing a curricular framework that can complement current educational practice. The study endeavored to explore the current state of ethics education and to identify potential gaps in that education using surveys, focus groups, and interviews with midwifery educators, midwives and students. In addition, given the emphasis placed upon the process of shared decision-making and its role in the promotion of respectful and person-centered midwifery care, the research sought to explore shared decision-making in further detail. … models) were applied in birth care in combination with care pathways tailored to the personal risk. The first results show that the models were frequently used. Additional advice and measures were frequently discussed and applied in a substantial group of women. The research shows that more healthy babies were born during the application of the new birth care, especially among women who were pregnant for the first time. In addition, the new birth care has led to a significant cost reduction of on average € 2,700 per pregnancy. Fac. … waste management (SWM) system. The main goal has been to understand the system and chart a potential pathway for sustainable modernisation that is rooted in local circumstances and jointly created by multiple actors. Stakeholders acting as working groups have assessed the SWM system, developed, prioritised, implemented and evaluated locally appropriate interventions using the integrated sustainable waste management framework as a lens to modernise the system. … describes the adaptation, implementation and evaluation of a school-based interactive educational programme about organ donation. This programme was implemented in schools for vocational education. The results show possibilities to reach a large group of adolescents and increase registration rates in this group. The new donor law in the Netherlands has the potential to contribute to higher registration rates as well. In a minority (6-7%) of patients, there is an incomplete reaction to the radiation. In selected cases, this group can still be cured through surgery.
