Sustainability at UM: What is currently going on?

Are you interested about what UM is doing to become more sustainable? During this presentation, the sustainability alumni committee provides you with a unique insight into the workings of the university when it comes to their sustainability goals, vision, projects.

We will introduce you to the Sustainable UM Taskforce and invited different speakers to talk about their work on sustainability on educational, research and operational level. The session will close with a Q&A between the audience and the speakers. Join this session to learn more about the sustainability community in UM and start to engage with them!

The UM alumni sustainability committee is aiming to establish a community of UM students, staff and alumni members on the topic of sustainability. We do this by connecting people, organizing events and keeping our community informed on (opportunities) for advancing sustainability within and outside of UM.

Theme: An overview of the SUM taskforce structure, functionalities, and its plans for the future within each pillar.

Sustainability & Education by Ceren Pekdemir (MSI - Coordinator of education pillar of SUM2030 - Coordinator of UM-wide Minor sustainability)​
Theme: A focus on the initiatives for education in sustainable development at UM with specific focus on the newly developed UM-wide minor in sustainability.
