LGBTQIA+ Ally Training
This project was developed by the UM Pride Research & Academia committee to spread awareness and teach people more about the queer community. So if you want to know how to better support the LGBTQIA+ community, but you're unsure about terminology and don't know how to make your language gender-inclusive, this workshop is for you!
During this training, you'll learn more about sex assigned at birth, gender, gender expression, and sexuality. We'll also discuss pronoun usage and translate this knowledge into making teaching and research practices more inclusive for everyone.
This is the time for you to learn, and we'll be happy to answer any and all questions you have - things that you wouldn't feel comfortable asking in other situations.
If Diversity & Inclusivity are important to you, but you're not sure how to incorporate these values into your teaching, research, or general working environment, we warmly welcome you to our LGBTQIA+ Ally Training on Thursday, the 6th of June, at Minderbroedersberg 4-6, from 14.00 - 16.30.
Depending on your specific development goals, participation in this activity could count towards your CPD hours.
