Nepal, my mother’s country of birth, is such a place, and I too have experienced this stigmatisation. During a family holiday, my relatives decided to visit the Tal Barahi temple in the middle of the beautiful Phewa Lake in Pokhara. I was very excited to see the lake for the first time and to take the colourful little boats to the temple, but unlucky me, my elder aunts prevented me from joining the trip. They said that I was not allowed to accompany them because I was on my period. I was confused because I had never before experienced any limitation in the Netherlands due to my period. While on-campus education for many is a key feature of the educational experience, several population groups benefitted from the transition to online education. Examples are shy people who felt more at ease with online than with on-campus education, students who were able to avoid unsafe situations because of not having to commute to campus, or staff who experienced a better work-life balance, with the ability to give care and work from home. Various perspectives of actors in the educational system For our qualitative research in 2021, we went to the field to understand how educational systems were … classes from home, avoiding evening commute time. The Food Concept Center will become an expertise centre for consumer research and product optimisation, expanding on the current Brightlands Test, Taste & Concept Center, the Laboratory for Behavioural Gastronomy, and the University of Maastricht's Food Claims Center Venlo.
