Think you know TTIP? Think again - Current Affairs Debate

The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership, commonly abbreviated to TTIP is a highly contentious bi-lateral trade agreement which ultimately seeks to create a free trade area between the United States and the European Union. Opinions are divided on this ambitious partnership. Critics see the reduction of regulatory barriers as a direct benefit to big business with fears private profit will be put above people’s needs and democratic rights. Advocates argue this partnership will increase the size of slumping European economies, as European firms will be able sell more goods and services in the US.

Studium Generale and ESA Concordantia invite you to our second Debate Café of the year. Join us on the 1st of December as we hope delineate and openly discuss TTIP with a panel leading experts.
