Scientific Award Poster Presentation for Anke Langenfeld

Anke Langenfeld has received the Scientific Award for her poster ‘Development of a Self-administered Neck Mobility Assessment Tool (S-ROM-Neck) In Chronic Neck Pain Patients: A prospective cohort study’.

The award was granted at the congress of the Swiss Association for Manuel Therapy (SAMT-SSTM) which was held 24-26 November 2016 in Interlaken, Switzerland.

The study evaluated if the movement of the cervical spine, assessed via a specific questionnaire by the patient, is a valid and reliable tool and could be used in daily clinical routine. The conclusion was that S-ROM-Neck instrument provides an important, patient related component to the initial assessment of patients with neck pain and is therefore recommended for clinical settings.

Anke is an external PhD candidate at the Department of Epidemiology and her research is embedded in the research line Functioning & Rehabilitation.
