MORSE Launch Week

MORSE (Maastricht Observatory on Resilient, Responsible and Sustainable Enterprise and Economy), an SBE Spearhead program, had its Launch Week from 25 – 29 October. During this week, there were lectures from valued speakers, inaugural lectures from MORSE members, panel discussions with Students and Alumni and a lot more. Kick-off Meeting

At the kick-off of the MORSE-launch week, the Sustainable UM2030 program and its goals and the research topics of the MORSE partners were presented.

Workshop on Circular City Making

A workshop during which students discussed possibilities to create a circular fashion lab and get sustainable findings for Stadslabs Sittard-Geleen. It provides an opportunity to connect the local youth and students to senior citizens and strengthen solidarity among and across generations.

Lecture by Prof. Mølgaard and Mr Frans Vollenbroek

A lecture about the European Climate Policy and the UM Research Agenda; first covering Danish climate and energy policies and followingly a retrospective perspective on the international environment focusing on the situation in the Netherlands.

PhD Defence by Alexander R.W. Baker-Shelley

The defence of the PhD thesis “Dancing on the shoulders of giants; an action inquiry into the navigation of organizational transformation for sustainability in the university”

UMIO and MORSE Workshop

A lively session around the theme "Working together towards sustainable, future-proof healthcare", focused on innovation within the sector and with plenty of opportunities for interaction and discussion.

Harvest Workshop UM Sustainable Transformation

The workshop brought together students and staff working on sustainability at UM. The goal of the meeting was to discuss how to better support each other and to formulate clear next steps.

Teaching Economics for a Greener Future

In collaboration with the Green Office, the event included discussions on pluralism and sustainability in the business curriculum. The focus was on ways to integrate sustainability at SBE together with staff and students.
