Jeroen van Velzen (J.H.)

Secretary to the Executive Board and Director Maastricht University office

Ir Jeroen van Velzen studied Plantbreeding at Wageningen University. He started his career as AIO (Phd) at Leiden University. After two years he became researcher at Statistic Netherlands | Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek (CBS) . In the subsequent years his career proceeded within CBS where he fulfilled several (senior) management position. In his last year with CBS he was deputy Senior Director of Dataservices, Research and Innovation.  

Since April 15th 2022 Jeroen is working at Maastricht University where he combines the following positions:

• Secretary to the Executive Board;
• Director Maastricht University Office where he leads the Management Team.
