T. Van Overbeke
My research lies at the intersection of political economy, political science and industrial sociology. I am primarily interested in the political dimensions of structural economic changes such as automation and climate change: How do societies deal with structural developments that benefit everyone in the long run, but can cause socio-economic harm for some in the immediate present?
On top of this core research agenda I also have several other projects looking into political and comparative political economic dimensions of Covid-19 and superstar firms.
