Tereza Bauer (T.)

Tereza is a PhD candidate at the Graduate School of Business and Economics and the Faculty of Law, supervised by Prof. Rob Bauer and Prof. Mieke Olaerts. She is a participant in the interdisciplinary project LIMES Maastricht - the Hardening and Softening of Borders in Europe, funded by European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant. 

 

Her research interests are sustainability in finance and business and the role of investors and corporate governance. In her project, ‘The Impact of Borders on the Effectiveness of Active Ownership by European Asset Owners’, she studies the success factors of shareholder engagement with corporations on environmental, social and governance issues in an international context. 

 

Tereza holds Master’s degrees in Finance and Political Science from Central European University. Before starting her PhD, she worked in several international corporations, mainly as a benchmarking analyst in banking and consumer goods industries.
