International Student Welcome Day
Are you a new international student at Maastricht University (UM)? Then you do not want to miss the International Student Welcome Day on 25 August 2024. Meet your fellow international students and university staff from the International Student Service Office in a fun and welcoming atmosphere.
Enjoy a day full of activities together with your future friends at one of the most iconic buildings in Maastricht. The event takes place at the Ipanema, located inside the must-see Bonnefanten art museum. That is already one location checked off your bucket list – and you have just arrived!

Get to know your fellow international students
Enjoy a nice lunch, social activities, evening drinks and bites at one of the most iconic places in the city.
The Welcome Day starts with a warm welcome by our office staff, followed by a presentation on behalf of mymaastricht.nl and Career Center, sharing valuable information about important matters when moving to Maastricht and the services we offer new students. During lunch, you will have the opportunity to get to know each other. In the afternoon, we planned several activities for you in collaboration with our partners Wellbeing and UM Sport.

| 10.00 - 11.00: Registration of attendees |
| 11.00: Welcome speech on behalf of our office |
| 11.30: Presentation by mymaastricht.nl & Career Center, followed by a Q&A |
| 12.30-13.00: - Get ready for lunch! - Social Activities to be detailed further on* |
| 16.30: 'Borrel' time: typical Dutch term to have some small bites and a couple of drinks to get to know each other and connect. |
