PPP step 6: How to register your work for third parties

Work for third parties is taken over from the registration in your Employee Self Service (ESS).
If you want to add, delete or change information, please login to your ESS (or go to MyUM, login and you'll find ESS in the menu). 

When you register your work for third parties in ESS your supervisor will be notified of the registration update and will decide whether to grant authorisation. The results will be then included in MSS (Management Self Service) and you will be notified of the decision by email.

The approved work for third parties will be automatically shown on your personal profile page, unless agreed different with your supervisor. 

Please note:
Your work for third parties update will be refreshed only once a week in the PPP area.

Why do you need to register your work for third parties?
UM places great importance on integrity, academic or otherwise, as well as the prevention of any conflict of interest or appearance thereof. To that end, proper registration of your work for third parties is essential. As of 12 June 2016 employees are required to register all work for third parties in accordance with the UM regulation work for third parties in ESS.
