Michael Berger Award for André Knottnerus
Professor André Knottnerus has received the Michael Berger Award. The award is a recognition of André’s outstanding international achievements in the field of evidence-based medicine and patient-centredness.
Since 2006, on the occasion of the Michael Berger Memorial Lecture, this biennial prize has been awarded at the ‘Kongress für Allgemeinmedizin und Familienmedizin’ (DEGAM). This congress is organised by the Institute of General Medicine (ifam), the Cochrane Metabolic and Endocrine Disorders Group (CMED) and the Centre for Health and Society (CHS) from the Medical Faculty of the Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf.
At the DEGAM Congress 2017, which will be held 21-23 September in Düsseldorf, André will give a lecture titled ‘Where patient care and research come together’.
