Phase II: Green

To keep education going there are 4 phases of measures to reduce infections.

If the number of infections increases, the virus will transition into 'Phase II Green'. The green scenario is based on a situation where the COVID-19 virus has the same impact as a flu virus.

In this situation, there is no immediate need to take measures specifically for education, other than the society-wide commitment to prevention by following basic hygiene measures.

In 'Phase II Green', the following measures will apply:

Wash your hands often and thoroughly, using water and soap
Cough or sneeze into your elbow
Symptoms? Stay at home and do a test

Ensure a good flow of fresh air
Get a vaccine, booster, or repeat jab

Self-tests

We would like to stress the importance of self-testing. Use the self-tests to protect yourself and the people around you! Students and staff can get two free self-tests per week at the reception of their own faculty or service centre.

Risk groups for severe illness from COVID-19

UM is committed to providing a safe learning and working environment for all staff and students. Students and staff at higher risk of severe COVID-19 can find more information here. Students who do not feel safe to participate physically due to a disability or chronic illness or other personal issues can contact Disability Support. Staff can discuss this with the manager.

Well-being in times of COVID-19

For some students and staff, the corona crisis can be a challenging time. Within UM, there are many initiatives, activities and programmes that can contribute to your well-being. Students will get a quick and efficient insight into the large number of support services through this infographic. Employees who encounter problems are encouraged to discuss this directly with their manager.

Travel & international mobility

International travel for students and staff
UM looks beyond national borders in terms of research and education. In doing so, the UM takes into account the government guidelines and the general travel advice issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
